Exosomal STAT1 derived from high phosphorus ‑stimulated vascular endothelial cells induces vascular smooth muscle cell calcification via the Wnt/β‑catenin signaling pathway
In conclusion, the present results indicated that exosomal STAT1 derived from HP‑treated HUVECs could promote VSMC calcification, and activation of the Wnt/β‑catenin pathway may be a potential mechanism of the VSMC calcification promoted by exosomes.PMID:36281932 | DOI:10.3892/ijmm.2022.5195

The Endothelial Transcription Factor ERG Promotes Vascular Stability and Growth through Wnt/β-Catenin Signaling.
Abstract Blood vessel stability is essential for embryonic development; in the adult, many diseases are associated with loss of vascular integrity. The ETS transcription factor ERG drives expression of VE-cadherin and controls junctional integrity. We show that constitutive endothelial deletion of ERG (Erg(cEC-KO)) in mice causes embryonic lethality with vascular defects. Inducible endothelial deletion of ERG (Erg(iEC-KO)) results in defective physiological and pathological angiogenesis in the postnatal retina and tumors, with decreased vascular stability. ERG controls the Wnt/β-catenin pathway by promoting β-c...

A search map for organic additives and solvents applicable in high-voltage rechargeable batteries
Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., 2016, Advance Article DOI: 10.1039/C6CP05800K, PaperMin Sik Park, Insun Park, Yoon-Sok Kang, Dongmin Im, Seok-Gwang Doo A search map composed of the redox potentials of [similar]1 000 000 organic compounds is theoretically generated for finding novel electrolytes. The quantitative relationship between the redox potentials and functional groups is suggested. The cycle performance of lithium ion batteries is improved by applying a screened anodic additive. Sensors, Vol. 23, Pages 5465: Li2100deplMoO4 Scintillating Bolometers for Rare-Event Search Experiments
We report on the development of scintillating bolometers based on lithium molybdate crystals that contain molybdenum that has depleted into the double-β active isotope 100Mo (Li2100deplMoO4). We used two Li2100deplMoO4 cubic samples, each of which consisted of 45-millimeter sides and had a mass of 0.28 kg; these samples were produced following the purification and crystallization protocols developed for double-β search experiments with 100Mo-enriched Li2MoO4 crystals. Bolometric Ge detectors were utilized to register the scintillation photons that were emitted by the Li2100deplMoO4 crystal scintil...

Downregulation of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-2 under oxidative stress conditions is mediated by β-transduction repeat-containing protein via glycogen synthase kinase-3β signaling.
Abstract Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-2 (VEGFR-2), which is a key determinant of the angiogenecic response, is decreased in diabetic mice under oxidative stress. β-transduction repeat-containing protein (β-TrCP) has been reported to participate in VEGFR-2 degradation in thyroid cancer cells. Additionally, glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK‑3β) acts as a mediator in the β-TrCP-induced degradation of several proteins. However, the role played by β-TrCP and GSK‑3β in the degradation of VEGFR-2 in endothelial cells where hyperglycemia had been induced was not fully understood. In the present ...
